T- 8 days Till We Leave!

T-8 days until we leave for the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!

We had out final pre-trip meeting last night, where we went over logistics and answered all types of questions.  One of our main goals for this trip is to avoid falling into the trap of voluntourism/ povery tourism.

http://blog.sojo.net/2011/02/21/poverty-tourism-can-make-us-thankful/
Above is an interesting article that adresses that issue.

I am so excited to get to know everyone on the trip and experience this adventure and learning experience together!!

This trip is only possible through donations!!!  Click here to share in
the opportunity with us   http://www.csl.umd.edu/donate/

Cheers,
